Book Giveaway! The Cleaner Plate Club

Give The Cleaner Plate Club a Listen with this podcast from KCUR, our local NPR affiliate!
Central Standard - The Cleaner Plate Club

It's been a crazy couple weeks back from vacation. Life is normally a blur, but it hit warp speed. I would guess the big news around this kitchen is that our book is now out and we're doing some of the PR work for it — along with the busy day job, of course. The link above was a new experience for me, I spent 45 minutes on live radio, taking calls from parents. They had some great tips, recipes and insights so give it a listen. Sorry about my voice.

Congrats to _vtg_ as you were the only comment for the last book giveaway, you will get all three. Cool, huh? Leave me your snail mail address at farmerfare [at] gmail [dot] com.

Which brings me to this month's book giveaway, a copy of my book, The Cleaner Plate Club! Since it would be kind of vain to review my own book here, I'm just going to post some of the nice comments from folks who have read it.

You know the drill, leave me a comment below and you will be entered into a random drawing.

“This book is jammed with info: guidelines, pantry lists, meal-planning techniques and time-savers—yet the energetic authors make it feel as fresh as our next family dinner can be, with their plate-cleaning help. “ BookPage

And their book, The Cleaner Plate Club, proves that they know what they’re talking about." Sacramento Book Review

I would love a copy of your book! My 2-year-old nephew's health is so important to me ... and eating a healthy diet is a huge part of that!

My son is an expert at separating vegetables out of any food. I'm looking forward to new ideas with his "favorite" foods and some ways to get him to try new ones!

I love the idea of this book...and it's so fabulous that you did it, Beth! Go you!!!!

We're having your meatloaf Florentine tonight. It makes enough that I can freeze a loaf for emergencies. Tonight I'm pulling out the frozen loaf. It's been that kind of day. So you've saved another family from tired day takeaways!!

Me Me Me! I'm excited for this book to come out. My twins are one now, and so far they've done great, but I'd like some guidance moving forward. :)

I'm such a girlfan and I love this book! I bought a copy to give to a girlfriend here in Melbourne, and she started leafing through it while we were eating lunch - I swear, within 15 minutes, she'd picked out half a dozen recipes she wanted to try! Her comment "I've never seen a cookbook with such a vibrant layout! It's a pleasure to read through!"

Thank you all for the comments! I hope you find the book helpful! You all are awesome.

@Rachel, I am your girlfan right back!

@Carina, I think the meatloaf is one of my most favorites in the book.

@_vtg_ Hey! Great, your December books will be on their way!

Not really asking for the book, just wanted to say how awesome it is.

I saw a mock up of this book this summer at the American Library Assn conference, and knew that I had to have it when it came out. Thanks to an Amazon gift certificate, I have it and have been cooking from it the past week and a half. I have two super picky kids and getting them to eat healthy is always a challenge. So I can pay you the ultimate compliment - my younger son (who hates EVERYTHING) said "I like these burgers" (of the guiness, cheddar, and carmelized onion burgers). The meatloaf is the best meatloaf I have ever had! I made the quinoa-carrot biryani tonight, and that was fabulous too.

I don't mean to sound like a commercial for your book, I am just so happy to find recipes that are healthy, easy to make, and that the kids will eat. It is a rare combination, I do so appreciate all your hard work in putting this book together.

With that ringing endorsement from Margie I feel an Amazon order coming on... (assuming my comment-to-win luck doesn't continue!)
