Another Meat Recall from E. Coli

Recall includes certain 10-pound boxes of Butcher's Best 100% All Beef Patties; certain 10-pound boxes of Kohler Foods burgers; certain 10-pound boxes of Sand Castle Fine Meat; some 2-pound boxes of Topps 100% Pure Ground Beef Hamburgers; and some 3-pound boxes of Topps 100% Pure Ground Beef Hamburgers.

The boxes recalled carry the number "Est. 9748" inside the USDA mark of inspection and were produced on June 22, July 12 or July 23. Details are here. The current estimated number of people who have been sickened is 21 people in eight different states.

True. Easier still is to get a side or split side of natural, grassfed beef. It's a steal at $3.00 per pound for ALL the cuts. Highly recommended.

...nd to help with both of those notes (my 1/2 steer comes next wee4k- ack!) are there any recommendations from you, or "out there," for a good meat grinder? Preferably a manual one? (We're moving onto our boat and being super frugal with anything that uses electricity).
